Stolen Vehicle Recovered, Driver Facing Multiple Charges

St. John's N.L - On Friday (April 18), A routine vehicle check by RNC Patrol Officers led to the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of a 24-year-old woman on multiple charges.

At approximately 2:40 p.m., officers conducted a records check on a vehicle operating in the downtown core. The check revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen. A short time later, officers located the vehicle along with the driver and a passenger.

The female driver, 24, was taken into custody and charged with possession of stolen property, driving while prohibited, and several breaches of existing court orders. She is currently being held in the city lock-up and is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow morning.

The identity of the woman has not been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
